Local 1776 is part of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA). Since our founding in 1903, LIUNA has been representing working women and men in the United States and Canada across all sectors of employment, both public and private, for over 130 years. LIUNA is one the largest Unions in North America boasting a combined total of more than 500,000 members, and we use that collective strength to make your voice heard by lawmakers both at home and in Washington DC.

As part of LIUNA's Pacific Southwest Region (PSW), Local 1776’s mission is to represent US Government employees, to include the Department of Defense.
